Introduction to Goldman

An influential and well known anarchist of her time, Emma Goldman was captivating because through all that happened in her life she still stood up for what she believed in. Goldman fought passionately for women’s and workers' rights. A believer in reproductive freedom, she condemned marriage along with censorship. She believed that violence against a violent state was justified. Goldman was an early advocate of free speech and birth control, women's equality and independence as well as labor unions.
