Linda Sarsour: Stereotype breaker

Linda Sarsour is a Palestinian Muslim American born in Bay Ridge,Brooklyn.She is a racial justice and civil rights activist, community organizer and a mother of three. Her career started when she first started volunteering in the Arab American Association of New York (AANY). Four years later, she had taken the job of the Executive Director of AANY. In AANY, she helped Muslim Americans in the Bay Ridge community to reunite with their family and has been going on ever since. She recently resigned from that position to organize more events alike the Women's March. Moreover, she was recognized as a Champion of Change by the Obama administration. More recently, she has been at the forefront of several marches and strikes such as: the Women's March, the Protest against the Travel Ban and more. She continues to have a large online influence on the American Population and tirelessly works to receive justce for several minorities.
