Clara Driscoll

Intro

Clara Driscoll, born in Ohio, was the head of the Women’s Glass Cutting Department at Tiffany Studios in New York City at a time when women's employment was uncommon. She worked at Tiffany for around 20 years. She is one of Tiffany's forgotten designers and had a momentous role in the design and creation of the lampshade which still fascinates us today. She wasn’t given the credit for her famous and magnificent work until her story was revealed by the New-York Historical Society in 2007.
